Are you Triggered?



So this past week was a rough week. Work was crazy! I was very tired and I was having a rheumatoid arthritis flare. I noticed that my eating habits were also off track. I am sure this was due to the stressful week that I was having. See, I am a stress eater. I turn to food for comfort when things aren't going right. I decided to do some research to see what I could do to correct this behavior. I came across a few articles that discussed why people overeat. According to one of the articles I read, there are about 8 emotional situations that trigger overeating: Boredom, Anger, Stress, Fear, Loneliness, Sadness, Poor Self-Esteem & Happiness. Most of the literature also suggests that developing a replacement behavior for the stress eating is the best way to combat this type of overeating. I am in the process of choosing my replacement behavior, but out of curiosity, what is your trigger for overeating? I would love for you to complete the poll below.
